Stopped working after a couple months July 3, 2008 Thoughtful Consumer (Washington, DC) Good sound quality, but the the left one stopped getting sound after just a few months when only used moderately. Disappointing.
Defective July 3, 2008 Craig Brinker I had to return my pair of ear buds because one was significantly louder than the other. I assume that this is not the status quo for all the ear buds JBuds produces, but I won't be buying a replacement set from them.
Disappointed July 3, 2008 Daryl Briefer OK Sound but they keep falling apart and getting caught on items when i walk past them
Disappointed - gives me a headache! July 1, 2008 Leonardo Rafael Camargo (San Jose, CA USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
PROS: extremely loud - volume on the lowest setting - clear, quality sound when playing music; great fit; awesome look; cord doesn't tangle CONS: wanna-be noise canceling blows; gives me a headache!
I was so looking forward to these Jbuds after reading good reviews here. But when no music is playing they have a slight hiss - I take it it's the noise-canceling feature - that just bothers me. When music is playing it's less discernible, but i think my ears still are annoyed. I have slightly sensitive hearing - as in, I can tell when a tv is on and the audio is on mute (it still emits a sound). So this slight hiss really bothers me. I think these headphones look fantastic, and they fit well. It could be that maybe I just can't have earbuds, so then I'll just have to stick with classic headphones (over the head).
I really like these if it weren't for the headache. It totally blows. I'd get these if they didn't have that wannabe noise-canceling hiss.
I'm gonna give it another week. I'll try it with a different laptop, and at different times of the day. Then I'll return it if it doesn't redeem itself. *crossing fingers*
Not worth the trouble July 1, 2008 anonymous I bought a pair of these in Sept. 0f '07 because Apple headphones suck and hurt my ears. I enjoyed these for the first few months, the sound quality was much better than my old ones and they were comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Then after about four months, the left ear stopped working unless I turned the cord a specific way and didn't move it at all, which was a pain. A few weeks later, the left ear stopped working altogether so I e-mailed the company for a replacement (they come with a 1 yr. warranty). Two months after I got the replacement, the left ear also died completely on that one. My FOURTH pair in under a year also just died and, despite the warranty being valid for a few more months, the company refuses to replace them anymore. These aren't worth the $20 they charge and there are others that are half the price with similar sound that last much longer. Don't waste your money or your time.
