Product Description
The world's smallest digital music player, the 1GB iPod shuffle lets you wear up to 240 songs on your sleeve. Or your lapel. Or your belt. Clip on iPod shuffle and wear it as a badge of musical devotion. You know what they say about good things and small packages. But when something 1.62 inches long and about half an ounce holds up to 240 songs, "good" and "small" don't quite cut it. Especially when you can listen to your music for up to 12 continuous hours. In fact, iPod shuffle just may be the biggest thing in small.Clip it to your coin pocket. Clip it to your bag. No matter where you clip your skip-free iPod shuffle, you'll have instant access to music. And iPod shuffle's anodized aluminum enclosure goes with absolutely everything. Put it on, turn it up, and turn some heads.Got more than 240 songs in your iTunes library? No problem. Let iTunes autofill your iPod shuffle and get a new musical experience every time. Pop follows jazz. Rock follows rap. iPod shuffle loves to improvise. Take the Shuffle switch, for instance. Even if you've synchronized a particular playlist, you can shuffle songs with a flick.

Controls
iPod shuffle pays respect to its bigger siblings with a circular control pad that puts the "go" in ergonomic. Click the center button to play and pause. Click the outer buttons to move back, skip forward, and adjust volume.

Pop the iPod shuffle into the included dock and sync with iTunes. View iPod shuffle dimensions.

The shuffle switch lets you mix up the iPod contents, or play playlists in the order you want. View larger.
Clip
Thanks to a built-in clip, iPod shuffle goes with anything. Clip it to your sleeve, lapel, coin pocket. No matter where you wear it, iPod shuffle speaks volumes about your style.

Shuffle switch
Embrace your inner rebel: Flip the shuffle switch to mix up iPod shuffle's contents. Flip it again to play your handpicked playlists and albums in the order you synced them from iTunes.

Battery indicator
Green means go, amber means you're low, and red means you've almost hit zero. But with up to 12 hours of battery life, the iPod shuffle may keep rocking even longer than you do.

Headphone jack
The headphone jack does double-duty as a dock connector. Flip iPod shuffle upside-down and drop it into the included dock. Connect the dock to your Mac or PC for a quick sync and charge. Away from your computer? Charge on the go with the optional Apple USB power adapter.

5 out of 5 stars Great Little iPod   August 30, 2008
Jeffrey J. Marks (Portland, OR)
This has been a great little iPod. I recommend it to anyone who wants a good mp3 player to jog with or just clip on for a long poker tournament.

5 out of 5 stars I like it   August 29, 2008

This is the only I-Pod I've ever had, and it is fine for me. I'm more interested in listening to music than being able to watch videos, so I don't need to have a player with a screen. I know that one GB of space isn't a lot, but it is enough for me. I also love the fact that I-Pods charge on the computer and I don't have to find batteries, like I did for the first couple of MP3 players I owned.

5 out of 5 stars 2G iPod Shuffle is the best!   August 28, 2008

I love my iPod 2GB shuffle! I can't believe I waited so long to get one. It is easy to use, easy to upload my music, so easy in fact that I can do it with my eyes closed!

5 out of 5 stars love it! perfect for the gym   August 22, 2008
Jim Batten (Seattle, WA)
This is a great solution for when you want something small and have no need for 25,000 songs or video. It's perfect for people who like to listen to music while working out, because it has no moving parts and you won't mess it up by moving around a lot.

I use mine all the time, a lot more than I thought I would. Perfect for non-gym stuff also. So good, I've actually pretty much stopped using my other iPods entirely.

3 out of 5 stars Get the bigger one   August 19, 2008

When I broke my original I-Pod (classic), I thought I would save money and buy this smaller one. It's really cute and perfect for the gym...for about a month until you realize 240 songs really is not enough. You can take off old songs and upload new ones, but this is a pain. My advice is to spend the extra money to get more memory storage.
