I bought this for my daughter for her kitchen, because I thought it would look good with her 50's table. The sound is excellent for such a little unit, and AM/FM reception is great, too! She loves the look of it, and the fact that it doesn't take a lot of room. Reminds me of the good ol' days (except for the ipod part!)

This radio was purchased for my 10 yr old nephew. I was upset when i opened the package to discover I had received the wood/black radio instead of the black that I ordered. I called to exchange, but they were out of stock so I had to keep it versus waiting until after Christmas for a new one. That aside, this was a great deal. For $50, the quality and sound of this radio is excellent. Some may not appreciate the retro look, but I do! I like the simplicity of this radio and the sound is impressive for the price.

What a cool gift I received. Smaller and lighter than a 6-pack, dials instead of digital, gets very good radio reception, it has good quality sound including good base for such a small unit. Not loud enough for a dorm party but great for a cocktail party in the kitchen. Perfect for the office or cubicle.

Positive reviews I've read so far have been accurate. Bought this for my wife to use in her office.
Pros:
Price (Not a lot of decent iPod speakers for ~$50)
Simple operation.
Good sound for the price.
3.5mm Stereo Aux input
FM radio works fine; didn't try AM. (Untangle FM antenna for better reception)
Cons:
A little extra sensitivity in volume knob would be nice.
Unfortunately no remote.
Other: A green LED appears through back mesh on the upper right front corner of the unit when it's on.
Great for the Office December 16, 2008

This unit is great for my office. Unfortunately, my office does not have a window, so I get only one or two AM and FM radio stations on it. I did, however, try it in another person's office with a window and was able to get a lot more stations that way. The ipod sounds great with it. The sound quality is excellent for such a small unit. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.
