Audiophile worthy! November 21, 2008

When I saw this product on the AR web site, I was immediately interested because it was a TABLE RADIO, for goodness sakes, with tube technology. I'm an audiophile and I currently own an integrated amp with tubes, and absolutely love the sound it creates. I am extremely pleased with the performance of this radio; it BLOWS AWAY the silly Bose Wave for half the price, and an iPod dock with two additional inputs to boot. The tuner is the best I've seen in years, and the remote is nice. The only caution is that the amplifier section is so powerful that it can overdrive the little speakers at high volumes creating distortion, but that occurs at the point where it's really loud. If you want a nice table radio with versatile, usable features and great sound, this is definitely it!
