1 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM   November 21, 2008

I have had my Kensington Battery Pack for two months now and it does not hold the charge as advertised. I am lucky if it will give ONE full charge to the iTouch.

They advertise 100 hours on music. You will be lucky if you get a single recharge on the iTouch.

Waste of money.

5 out of 5 stars Very cool gadget   November 19, 2008

Works as described - provides a very easy way to recharge your iPhone when it runs out of juice. I keep a charged one in my bag because I regularly forget to charge up my phone. If I'm on a business trip, I leave it charging all day. That way if I forget to charge my iPhone overnight, I can just grab it, and it charges up in my pocket.

One thing to consider in the cost is that it comes with a iPhone charger (the cable and wall charger), which by itself has value.

Also very helpful that it charges other USB-chargeable devices. Because I also have to carry around a blackberry, it's handy in case I forget to charge it (though my blackberry lasts much longer than my iphone).

2 out of 5 stars Good but over priced. bad design   November 16, 2008

3G IPHONES, PDA, IPODS, G1, BLACKBERRY BATTERY CHARGER, 5000mAh.

you can buy the battery above which is same price but offers you better features.

imp500 has a lot more power than the kensington. imp500 will boost your iphone battery 500% more than original iphone battery. also looks a lot nicer. It came with iphone connector as well as mini usb connector. I mainly use it to charge iphone but my brother uses on t-mobile G1 and it works great. you can charge sidekick lx, blackberry, nokia 8800 and many other phones that use mini usb connector.

The iPhone 3G runs down its battery rapidly, even on standby. This gismo charges both the iPhone and a second external battery which you can toss in your backpack or briefcase as emergency backup. Peace of mind. Works fine, well made, recommended.

4 out of 5 stars Works with thicker cases   October 16, 2008

This battery pack will work if you have an Otterbox Defender case on your iPhone. Kensington told me the mini charger would work with that case, but since the case is rather thick, the connector was too short to reach. This model is bulkier, but the cable makes it easier to connect.
