 Excellent scratch protection for iPod January 6, 2009

Bought this clear case to protect a blue iPod Nano 4G. Case seems extremely well built, with easy access to the connectors, but is sturdy enough that if/when the Nano is just thrown into a carry bag, it's not going to get all scratched up. Also since it's clear it shows off the excellent Nano metallic paint job. So, product does just what I need it to do.

This is a perfect fit for the new nano 4g and all the controls/usb connector are accessible without having to take off the case. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is a bit hard to open the case, but I like that I can still show off the color of my nano without getting scratches on it. One thing though, I think it is pricey for a small little plastic case, but it does come with a removable screen cover that other products don't offer.

I was looking for the erogonomic belt clip as advertised and it has none. The description says "Product Description: From the ergonomic belt clip to the highly polished crystal clear shell...." The case fits nicely but that is all it does. I own a bose sounddock and when the case is the ipod, it will not fit on the connection pins. It's the bottom corner edges of the case that prevent it from sitting in the dock. I'm only giving it 3 stars because it does fit nice while on. You will need a small coin to open the case and there are no instructions on the outside of the packaging to tell you that. If you don't need a clip and don't plan on playing it in a device then it would be ok. I'm returning mine.

I can't speak for other buyers, but I for one was disappointed with this buy. The description states the case as coming with two backs, one of which features a belt clip- mine came with only a smooth back. The case still looks nice, but the only reason I ordered this one was to use while working out. Not helpful. FYI my order was fulfilled by Amazon itself and, interestingly, shipped from its Returns Center (to which it is promptly again returning)- maybe other sellers ship the correct product?

I echo the sentiments of the other review posted. This case is a perfect fit for the 4G iPod nano. The screen cover is removable if you prefer to leave it uncovered. Previously I purchased a silicone sleeve for my new nano. Although it provided nice grip, it wasn't the most attractive thing to look at. This case is crystal clear so I can see my red iPod and read the engraving on the back side. After all, Apple made the nano in 9 different colors for a reason. My only complaint: The instructions for opening the case were inside the case. If you order one, use a coin in one of the side slots to pop the case apart! Isee for Ipod Nano 4G
