With built-in 2.1 channel speakers (10W satellite speakers and 15W ASUS Power Bass System), the PG221 allows you to fully experience powerful sound effects. The PG221 adopts the SRS TruSurround XT Technology supporting 6.1-CH stereo surround sound and bring enhanced listening pleasure. The PG221 also has a built-in 1.3 Megapixel webcam and earphone/microphone jacks to provide real-time online communications during game play or instant messaging. Great gaming monitor September 15, 2008

This is a great monitor. The price is right, but more then that it looks and feels very high quality (it is very sturdy). I has a ton of great features, I am surprised how great the sound is. This monitor has built in speakers and a woofer, it has some great surround sound effects set up (simulates surround with the front speakers and woofer.) I am extremely pleased with this purchase... and it arrived 3 or more days early as well.
