I've had a Dell Dimension 4700 for about 2 years, and needed a RAM upgrade. I had 512mb and wanted 2gb. I had my eye on this memory for a while as it was a little pricey. But, once it hit the $110 mark.. I jumped on it. I now see that it has dropped even further ($88 at time of this review) and think I will pick up an additional 2 gb kit and max out my computer at 4gb.

The RAM itself works wonderfully and I've had no problems. I made the switch and turned on the computer and it detected it right away and have been fine since then.

I do see a difference in performance and I know the additional 2gb will do wonders for my CPU.

Dell Dimension
Pentium 4 (3.0 GHZ)
2GB DDR2 PC2-4200
160GB SataDrive
ATI Radeon X800 256MB

Runs games like FEAR/HALF LIFE 2 extremely well, maxed out and without lag.

The new RAM actually did the trick as it would lag due to only 512mb of RAM. I'm throwign in the extra 2gb and call it a day..
Until I upgrade to a new computer in the nex tyear or so.

Also, Crucial is the best RAM on the market. Dell actually uses it in the computers but slaps their sticker on it. Trust your info and data with Crucial people!
