My sr 190 enjoy every ram space it can offer. Backed up its pre installed 2 gig ram.

5 out of 5 stars Compatible and more likely to be useful on your next laptop   April 19, 2008

I put this in my new Toshiba laptop (instead of a PC2-5300) SODIMM to give 4GB (instead of the 3GB) it came with. Turned out not to make much difference since 32 bit Windows can only see around 3GB (depending on the chipset). 64 bit Vista might help but I understand that to date no laptops have chipsets that can access more than about 3GB.

The OCZ PC2-6400 is simply capable of faster speeds so works fine and is compatible with PC2-5300. It was about the same price as the 5300 and therefore a better choice since I might be able to use it one day in a future laptop (when a PC2-5300 might be scrap). Being specified as faster also means you are less likely to have RAM errors due to marginal timing.
