Systematic Problems with Power & USB connectivity. eSATA slow December 12, 2007 David Wu 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this for the low price, USB and eSATA, and mac compatibility. One major problem is that the power plug is VERY unreliable (flickers in and out with just touching the drive)--I had this problem with two of these drives (I returned the first, hoping it was an isolated problem). Also, I was never able to get the USB connection to work on two macs, or the intel mac running Windows Vista natively (I tried both NTFS and Mac formatting). The eSATA works, but the transfer rates were capped at around USB 2.0 rates, so no benefit there either. I'm returning the second unit.
