I have had this graphics card for a week now and it is working beautifuly. I used to play World of Warcraft, and it ran fine with my old graphics card that came with my computer, i hardly ever lagged. Recently i bought Age of Conan, when i first played i lagged tremendously. I had about 1-2 fps, so it wasnt even worth playing. With this card, i do not lag at all, my normal fps is between 26-30, so i am extremely happy with this card, it has worked wonders. The price is also great because the recomended card for AoC was $40 more D=.

5 out of 5 stars Great Upgrade For Older Rigs   June 20, 2008

I just got this last night and it made a huge difference in my gaming and video editing. I was using a 256mb ATI X700 Pro which in its day (2004-5) was a decent card. But eventually games started to get more advanced and I figured I would upgrade but I didn't want to spend over 100 bucks because I am just a casual gamer. So I bought the GeForce 8500GT and it rocks, my desktop looks so much better, colors are more vivid, the games I do play now can be played at MAX or medium settings, with the X700 most of my newer games was at the low end range. Installation was easy, I took my old card out, put the new card in, turned it on, loaded drivers, rebooted, presto, instant graphical betterment! I recommend this card to any casual gamer or to someone with an older system from 3 or more years ago. Its a solid card and the price is perfect for casual gamers like me.

5 out of 5 stars Great Card, Great Price.   June 19, 2008

You really couldn't ask for more from a 60 dollar card.
This card plays games quite well, with settings turned to full.
It even plays Crysis with medium settings; and looks absolutely amazing.
This is a great card if you want superb gaming for your buck, and don't want to spend piles of money on the 8800, or the 9600.

5 out of 5 stars.

First and foremost, I have a Vista operating system. I picked up the GeForce FX5200 last year in order to clone my screen. That card was terrible. My screen would flicker and my audio would crackle when I scrolled down pages. I was desperate for a replacement, but I didn't want to spend too much being that my needs are fairly basic. I picked up this card about two weeks ago. I had an initial scare because my system wouldn't turn on after installation. After removing the prior video driver and maximizing the power settings, the problem was solved. My computer now performs much better. My Vista rating went from 2.5 to 5.9. The colors look crisp and vibrant and I have no issues whatsoever with flickering. For $60, you can't go wrong. My faith in PNY has been restored.
