4 out of 5 stars Decent upgrade from onboard video   August 13, 2008
Jay A. Lawrence (Huntsville, AL United States)
The biggest issue I encountered was finding the correct process for changing from on-board video to PCI-E, but that was an issue with HP/Compaq. Once that simple task was accomplished, the rest of the installation proceeded without any problems. Graphics performance is about what I expected, and I can hardly hear the fan. I found it somewhat amusing that I was emailed a recommendation for the low profile adapter kit after I had the video card in my hand. I would have expected a card advertised as "Low Profile" to include the necessary adapter. Since I was installing it in a regular slot and already knew that the card had a standard height bracket, it wasn't an issue.

4 out of 5 stars need bracket for low profile   July 29, 2008

This is a low profile video card. It just lacks the low profile bracket. If you need the low profile just buy the 5 dollar bracket kit sold by amazon and it'll work just fine. Would have been nice if they included that in the product description, so they lose a star for that. So far i've only used the s-video and vga and they both do their jobs.

1 out of 5 stars This is NOT a PCI card   April 7, 2008

Despite the description I received an AGP card instead of a PCI card so be warned!

2 out of 5 stars Not low profile   March 28, 2008

It's probably a fine video card, but as mentioned in a previous review, it's not a low profile bracket.

5 out of 5 stars Card works Great   March 27, 2008
Michael W. Frincke (Fostoria, MI)
I bought this card to watch Netflix movies on my
Dell Vista Basic system. Everything worked as
advertised, and for the price of $38.00, I couldn't
be happier. The card is sold as "low profile,"
except the front mounting bracket is too tall to
mount at the rear of smaller cased computers.
A pair of tin-snips and some careful engineering,
took care of the problem.
