5 out of 5 stars works great, using a dual display setup   November 10, 2008

3 out of 5 stars so-so performance, painfully noisy   August 1, 2008
M. Harrison
Got this for $60, but I am returning it because it makes such an annoying noise with the small fan spinning. The 3D performance on HL2 is decent at medium resolutions (1280x760).
The noise is actually painful to my ears, because of the high pitch and the performance is only so-so.

You better off spending two or three times as much for an 8800GT.

if you are building an economy PC then get this power Supply to go with your 8800GT

4 out of 5 stars Working very well   January 2, 2008

I purchased this for my son's computer to play Tabula Rasa on a Windows Vista system. It has exceeded my expectations. I had heard of many problems people have had with new hardware installations and Vista, so I was ready for a bit of frustration, but it was easy to install. Five minutes from in the box to up and running. It's running Tabula Rasa beautifully, and the price was right. I see other reviewers mentioning fan noise, I have not had a problem with this.

1 out of 5 stars Not for the living room   October 10, 2007

I am returning this one. It is fast enough, good image, good value, but the small fan and the absence of a decent heatsink (don't even think about heatpipes) makes it a no no in a HTPC. Not for the living room, definitely, it makes an annoying buzzing sound, I can even hear it with the tv on.
